The Spa at Honor’s Haven Resort in Ellenville, New York invites members, guests and area residents to dive into a better body this summer by joining them for their first ever Aquatics Boot Camp series July 5-30, 2016.
“During this four week camp, participants will be challenged with swimming drills, weight training, calisthenics in and out of the water, treading water with weights and high intensity interval training” says Jasmine Rodriguez, Supervisor for The Spa at Honor’s Haven Resort.
This aquatics training program will include 3-classes per week and provide little to no impact on joints; benefitting those suffering from joint aliments like arthritis as well as injured athletes looking to return to their sport with a minimal loss of conditioning. Of course it is always suggested that you consult with your physician prior to any exercise program to determine whether it is appropriate for your condition or injury.
Participants must be 16 years of age or older and know how to swim to take part in this program. Participants will also be responsible for providing their own swim suit, towel and water bottle.
This program will be held in the indoor pool at The Spa at Honor’s Haven Resort on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00pm – 7:00pm and Saturdays 10:00am – 11:00am. The fee to participate is $180 or $15 per class. Individuals who pay for all twelve classes in full will receive a $30 discount. Additionally, a program discount equal to 20% will be extended to military personnel, federal employees, nurses, employees of Honor’s Haven Resort & Spa and those with a spa and wellness membership.
