Your Go-To Checklist for Planning a Reunion Retreat in the Catskills

Reunion Retreat Tug o' war

Whether you are planning a reunion with your extended family or friends from college, high school or the military, the Catskill Mountains provide the perfect setting to reconnect and enjoy your time together. With so much to do here, you may feel overwhelmed when you consider everything involved. That’s where Honor’s Haven Resort & Spa comes in! Relax, take a deep breath, and let us help you plan your retreat with this simple planning checklist:

__ Choose Your Dates

The first thing to do is reach out to everyone who is interested in attending and find out which dates work for most of your group. Tip: Try pre-selecting a few individual dates and evaluating your group’s reaction. The truth is, it may not be possible to find a week or a weekend when everyone is available, so consider either finding a time when different members of your group can come for at least a few days, or choosing the dates that work for the most people. Remember, you can always plan another reunion next year!

__ Book Your Accommodations

Location is everything when it comes to planning a successful reunion retreat. You’ll want to choose a place that is both easily accessible from major cities and yet remote enough to offer the sense that it’s just your reunion group in attendance. Just two hours from New York City, Honor’s Haven features 232 spacious rooms and suites with spectacular views of the Shawangunk Mountain range, a scenic onsite lake and manicured garden. For your convenience, we offer discounted room blocks so you can keep everyone in your group close together.
