Serving up a brilliant medley of straight jazz and swing, James Martocci and his band have performed in countless metropolitan area venues including Cleopatra’s Needle, the Lenox Lounge, Somethin’ Jazz Club, and the Cupping Room.
Martocci began his singing career as a member of the New York City St. Patrick’s Cathedral Boys Choir in 1958. Since buying his first jazz record, Miles’ “ESP” in 1965, his love for jazz has flourished into a life-long passion.
Martocci’s band, the Jimmie Jazz Band, has been performing together since 2000 and consists of Rich Syracuse on the standup bass and Bob Rodriguez on the keyboard.
