Managing Stress in 3 Easy Steps

Stress.  It has the ability to undermine, cripple, and pretty much ruin our lives – if we let it.  I admit that there have been days when I just wanted to crawl into a hole and stay there for a few centuries, but as we all know, life stops for no one, which is why I have found it essential to incorporate the following tension relieving activities into my daily routine.

MOVE YOUR BODY – The practitioners at the EarthMind Wellness Center have told me that a gentle shake or vibration of the body can quickly help you to let go of mounting stress by loosening up muscles and joints and increasing circulation, and I couldn’t agree more!


TAP YOUR BODY – Tapping your body, especially in the areas where your stress is gathering, can help you to lighten your energy and reground yourself.  Emphasizing soft exhales can also help send new energy to the areas you are focusing on.

BREATHE DEEPLY – After giving your body a gentle shake or tapping, take a few minutes to just breathe.  Trust me, as you turn your attention inwards and draw in deep mindful breaths you will feel your mind and body relax as the tension just drifts away.
